Start Making Our Felt Silver Snowflakes
Step One — Prepare The Snowflakes
Enlarge the snowflake templates by 160% and trace them onto thick tracing paper. Iron the iron-on fabric onto the reverse side of the ivory felt.
Transfer the motifs from the tracing paper onto the iron-on fabric. Carefully cut out each snowflake using embroidery scissors.
Step Two — Snowflake 1
Using silver perle cotton and a chenille needle, embroider the outline of the larger star with straight stitches.
Next, fill in the star's center with glitter gel using a fine-tipped paintbrush. Apply the gel to each small ball at the points of the star and the ends of the snowflake. Allow it to dry for three hours, then apply a second layer of glitter gel.
Leave it to dry overnight, and then apply a layer of gouache varnish to all the glittered areas.

Using a fine-tipped paintbrush, paint a very thin layer of glitter gel onto the surface of the snowflake. Allow it to dry, and then apply a light coat of gouache varnish.
Once dry, outline the snowflake with a thin line of white relief paint, adding a few dots inside the snowflake. Leave it to dry overnight.
Activate the paint by pressing a hot iron on the reverse side of the snowflake for 15 seconds.
