Start Making A Paper Badge Design
Step One
You can obviously make a fun badge any size or shape you like. So decide a rough size and let's start making a design.
Get your plain paper and draw a square or your shape and make your design. Maybe start with a number or name or a specific drawing or anything you want to feature. Then use the felt tip pens to embellish the design.
Make it bright and colourful.
Cut Out The Card Badge Design
Step Two
Cut two pieces of card that match the shape of your design. Here we cut two rectangles from the card. Cut out the design from the paper and glue it to one of the cardboard pieces.
Add More Details To Our Paper And Card Badge
Step Three
Use the hole punch to punch holes around the edges and the sides. Leave the top. We don't need holes punched along the top because we will add ribbon here to attach it to the wearer.
Finish The Homemade Made Badge
Step Four
Now we continue to make a fun badge by adding more details and decorations. Tie the end of the cord or thick string to the end hole. Thread the cord through a large needle. This will help you to thread beads on to the cord.
Once the cord is tied in place, thread two beads on to the cord. Then thread the cord through the next hole and tie it back around the edge cord. Add a knot if you like. Add two more beads and repeat the process.
Continue all around the edges and finally tie off the end.
Homemade Badge Conclusion
Step Five
Now we can make the fun badge have a way to attach to something. Make two small loops out of ribbon and tape them to the back of the card badge we have been making.
If you are using a safety pin, thread the ribbons over the safety pin before sticking to the back of the cardboard.
If you have big loops, you can thread the safety pin through afterwards.
Finally to complete the make a fun badge project, we simply need to glue the other piece of the cardboard on to the back of the badge.
This will sandwich the ribbon between the two cardboard pieces and make it look neater.
And it is as simple as that to make a fun badge. So plan a party or a get together, make some badges, and have loads of fun with these personalised badges.
