How To Make Froggy Pebble Bookends
I like reading. And so do my children. So why not decorate your bookshelves with some really fun bookends. Here we are going to make some really funny and cute froggy pebble bookends.
Frogs are easy to make from pebbles we can collect from the garden or a park or the beach. But you don't have to make frog. You can really decorate your pebbles how ever you like. Make sure to make two bookends of course. Then these froggy pebble bookends will keep all your books neat and tidy.
What We Need To Make One Froggy Pebble Bookend
- One large flat pebble for the body
- One thin and wide pebble or the head
- Two smaller pebbles for eyes
- Paint in different colours
- Paintbrush
- Glue
- Optional varnish
How To Start Making Froggy Pebble Bookends
Step One
OK, these instructions are for making one froggy pebble bookend. If you want to make two bookends, just double up the numbers and paint all the rocks at the same time to save time.
So, first we need to make sure our pebbles are all clean and dry. Now we need to paint our froggy body. Paint fun details in green, like dots and stripes and flowers.
Now Our Froggy Bookend Needs A Head
Step Two
Now let's make a froggy head. Take the wider and flatter pebble and paint it green. Now again, let the paint dry.
Once the green paint is dry, paint a froggy mouth on the froggy head.

Step Three
Next we can take the two smaller pebbles and turn them into eyes. Paint some white circles on the pebbles and let the paint dry. Then paint some smaller black dots onto the white circles.
Finally, Assemble Our Froggy Pebble Bookends
Step Four
Now we are nearly finished making our fun frog bookends. Carefully glue the frog's head onto the frog body. You may have to hold it in place until the glue starts to set.
Finally glue the frog's eyes in place on top of the pebble frog head. Again, hold in place until the glue sets.
