Very Smart Sunburst Hand Printed Wallpaper
Here is a little tutorial on how to make some pretty hand printed wallpaper for your home. You can choose any design that you wish to create your one of a kind wallpaper design. My Auntie has over 1,000 rubber stamps, but I chose to borrow the sunburst design stamp for mine.
And, you can use any colour that you like to match or complement the decor in your home. Pick and nice stamp and some smart colour combinations and really you can make some very unique and personal wallpaper. And that wallpaper, honestly, is just as good as any designer wallpaper brand.
Stuff You Need For Sunburst Hand Printed Wallpaper
Materials
- Lining Paper
- Paper Strip the Width of Wallpaper
- Turquoise Green Emulsion Paint
- Wallpaper Paste

- Ruler
- Felt Tip Pen
- Sunburst Rubber Stamp
- Pencil
- Small Roller Tray
- Small Rubber Roller
- Pasting Brush
Making A Measuring Guide For Sunburst Hand Printed Wallpaper
Stage 1
Start by using a ruler to draw lines up to the edges of the extremities of the rubber stamp, then extend the lines around the edges so that you can visually see the exact position of the rubber stamp when you turn it over.
Stage 2
Next, make a measuring guide using a strip of paper. Mark the width of six stamps along the edge of the paper strip.
How To Start Hand Printing On Wallpaper
Stage 3
Now, place the measuring guide along the bottom edge of the wallpaper. Then coat the rubber stamp in paint, using the roller. Remember you can use any paint colour of your choice. I would suggest making a test print first to ensure that the print comes out as you want it to with not too much and not too little paint.
Stage 4
It is now time to start printing your own wallpaper design. Make the first stamp print in the second marked out section, the next in the fourth, then the sixth. This will give your design even spacing. Make sure that you line them up correctly along the measuring strip. Sunburst hand printed wallpaper is really fun to make and think of the money your saving.
Making Patterned Wallpaper With Rubber Stamps
Stage 5
Next, place the paper measuring guide along the side edge of the wallpaper. You can use the pencil to make light marks as a guide for printing.
Stage 6
Now, reposition the measuring guide horizontally and print the next row of your stamp design. The next row should be in the third section, and the next in the fifth to get an evenly spaced design. Continue to do this until the whole of the sunburst hand printed wallpaper is completed.

Stage 7
Now you can hang your lovely wallpaper. You can make it form a continuous pattern that matches up at each edge.
