Make a Decoupage Flower Clock
Here is a quick tutorial on how to make a simple decoupage flower clock. However, you can choose any shape and design that you like to make yours. I made this one with my daughter last weekend for a bit of fun.
And it really adds some magic to her room. Make one for yourself or for a really personal gift for a friend.

Making The Shape For The Decoupage Flower Clock
Step 1
Begin by drawing a circle onto a piece of white card using a large plate. Make sure that you leave enough space around the outside to make some petals. Draw around either a cup or a small bowl to make the petal shapes for the flower clock. Make semi circle petals all the way around the edge of the larger circle.
Step 2
Next, use a craft knife and cutting mat to carefully cut around the flower shape. Then pierce a hole in the centre of the flower using a bradawl. This will form the hole to place the clock spindle.

Step 3
Next, use the flower shape as a template to draw onto the back of the gold paper. Then cut out the gold paper flower using scissors.
Step 4
Then cut out some flower and leaf pictures, this could be from printouts, magazines or wrapping paper, etc. Then stick the gold flower shape onto the white card flower shape using PVA Glue.

Step 5
Next, arrange your flower and leaf shapes onto the the gold background. Once you are happy with the layout, glue them into place with PVA glue. You can wipe off any excess glue using a damp cloth.
Step 6
Finally, apply a coat of clear acrylic varnish and leave it to dry thoroughly. Then lastly, once dry, attach the clock movement and hands.
