For Kids And Adults, Make A Twisting Hanging Mobile
Here is a design for a simple geometric hanging mobile made from card. My kids love making these and hanging them in their bedroom windows. You can use all sorts of fun papers and card to make these, colourful, patterned, metallic, holographic, etc. The shiny ones are really pretty when the sun catches them.
Make a few of these in a line and hang them where the gentle breeze can catch them. Add some real relaxation to your life with these wonderful twisting hanging mobiles.

Drawing A Twisting Hanging Mobile Shape
1st Stage
Start by cutting out a square of card that measures 18cm X 18cm. Then draw two 90 degree angle V shapes, with one slightly closer to the edge of the card than the other.
2nd Stage
Then draw a second pair of V shapes inside the first on the second diagonal line. Then draw a third pair of V shapes on the first diagonal line.
Cutting Out A Paper Mobile
3rd Stage
Next, draw a final pair of V shapes on the second diagonal line. You can continue to fill the card further if there is any remaining space.
4th Stage
Now, you need to carefully cut along the V shapes with a craft knife and cutting mat. Then erase any pencil marks and lines that are visible. And punch one hole in one corner of the square shape.
Making A Paper Twisting Hanging Mobile
5th Stage
Keeping the card flat still, score lines between the ends of the V shapes where you will fold the card. Use the blunt end of the craft knife and the ruler to do this, to keep the lines straight.
6th Stage
Now you need to fold the card along the scored lines that you just made, and pull it outwards to create a series of twisted squares, all within each other. Then finally, thread some cord through the hole at the top and hang it up. You can make multiple and tie them together to make a big long mobile made up of lots of squares.
Then make many twisting hanging mobiles in row. Pop them somewhere where the breeze can catch then and sit down and have a lovely relaxing moment. Enjoying your hard work.
