Christmas is one of my favourite times of year, and I always like to get started preparing early, as there are always so many Christmas crafts that I want to do. I really love wrapping the children's presents in colourful bright and fun wrapping paper. I really like making my own gift wrap. You can choose any Christmas inspired designs when making yours. First, start out by finding some templates of the Christmas designs that you would like to use for your wrapping paper and tags. Then transfer the design onto some stencil cardboard, and carefully cut it out using a craft knife and cutting mat. Then paint the white cartridge paper in different coloured watercolour inks in any colours that you like. And then stencil the paper in gold and black paints.

Next, paint some sections of the foreign newspaper prints in some bright vibrant watercolour inks. Then cut out a triangular tree shape out of a piece of kitchen sponge and stick it to a piece of corrugated cardboard. This will make a stamp to stamp some of the colourful newsprint with some golden trees.

For the third stage, tear out strips, rectangles and basic tree shapes from the colourful newsprint. Then tear around the stamped and stencilled pictures. Also, cut some out with scissors to give some variation in shape, softness and texture. Finally, arrange all of your pictures onto the gold gift wrap and glue them securely into place. Now you have some fun decorative Christmas gift wrap and tags.
