Making A Collaged Fire Screen
Step 1
To make a lovely decorative collage fire screen, start by painting a pre cut fire screen with two coatings of the undercoat and the white paint. Make sure that you give it time to dry between coats. Then tear some pieces of newspaper and sheet music into strips, and glue them to your decoupage fire screen with PVA glue.
Step 2
Next, lay out your photographs onto the painted fire screen, and arrange them until you are happy with your design and layout. Once happy, glue your pictures to some rectangles of gold paper to give them a pretty boarder frame. Then glue everything into position.
Sealing A Decoupage Decorative Collage Fire Screen
Step 3
Now, use the epoxy resin glue, add on the corn stalks and dried rose petals (or any dried or pressed flowers of your choice). You can hold the corn stalks in place with some masking tape while you are waiting for the glue to dry.
Step 4
Finally seal your decorative collage fire screen design with a coating of clear varnish. And leave the decoupage fire screen to dry overnight. Then put the feet onto the screen, and now it is ready to use.
