How To Make An Ornate Cupid Valentines Card
Today I would like to show you a tutorial on how to make an ornate cupid valentines card using some basic craft materials. You can use whatever you like to add additional embellishments to your card if you wish. If you have an leftover pieces of pretty paper, this can be a great way to use them up, and make them into a beautiful card for Valentines Day.

Materials
- All Purpose Glue
- 15cm Square Dark Pink Paper
- 20cm Square Gold Card
- Decorative Gold Cake Band or Ribbon
- Paper Doilies
- Silver and White Scraps of Paper
- Victorian Inspired Cupid Picture

Making A Decorative Cupid Valentines Card
Step 1
To make your own cupid valentines card, glue the piece of dark pink card onto the gold card. Make sure that you leave an equal golden border all the way around the edge. Then add gold trim around the edges with strips of gold foil lace. You can get this either from a cake band or some decorative ribbon. Then cut out a small flower design for each corner from some silver doilies.
Step 2
Next, cut out four petals and two flowers from a white doily and back it with some lilac coloured paper (or another colour of your choice). Then choose a larger rectangle shape for the middle and back it with dark green paper (or another colour of your choice). Then stick the backed shapes onto the card background.
Decorating An Ornate Cupid Valentines Card
Step 3
Next, cut out some silver flowers and some white leaves, and glue them around the edges of the main central shape. You can do this in any shape or pattern that you like.
Step 4
Lastly, finish off your Valentines Day card by gluing on a Victorian inspired cupid picture. Add this to the centre of the card, then you can add more embellishments and decorations if you wish.
