A Paper Cut Love Token Is A Lovely Gift
I love making these cute paper cut love tokens. This idea originated in Switzerland and Germany where paper cutting became a really intricate and skilled craft. I have seen some really beautiful paper cut designs. You can even get paper cutting books, where you can remove the pages, and make paper cut designs.
Or you can make your own from scratch. I started with a really simple design with not too many tiny parts. You can use any colour papers that you choose. But remember the paper that you are cutting from must contrast with the mounting background paper.
Have fun making a paper cut love token.

Choosing Your Paper Cut Love Token Design
Step 1

Now carefully cut along the central edge of your design using a craft knife and a metal ruler.

Step 3
Next, spray the reverse side with a very light coating of the spray adhesive and stick it down on the back of the black paper. Then carefully cut out the shapes with the craft knife. Move it around to ensure that you are always cutting at the easiest angle.
Step 4
Then separate the black paper from the template design. Make sure that you take extra care when doing this as the smaller parts of the paper cut can be quite fragile.
Mounting Your Paper Cut Love Token
Step 5
Finally, unfold your design and place it onto some mounting paper. Choose a contrasting colour for your love token paper cut to stand out from the background.
