Simple Paper Easy Valentines Day Cards
Start by folding the piece of red paper in half, followed by the the white piece of paper. Fold the white piece around the red piece, which will make it easier to cut later on.
Find and trace a heart shape inspired pattern onto the white paper. You can choose any design or pattern that you wish.
Making Your Own Valentines Designs
Next, use the craft knife and cutting mat to carefully cut out the design. Ensure that you make the internal cuts first, followed by the cuts along the fold.
Then turn the paper around as much as you need to always ensure that you are cutting at a comfortable angle. This will give you the cleanest line finish.
Using Multiple Textured Papers
Now, fold the sheet of silver coated wrapping paper in half and slide it into the fold or the cut paper. Then draw a heart shape around the outside of the paper cut.
Next, use the metal ruler to tear a piece of the natural coloured handmade paper, a little bigger than the height of the silver heart to make the backing.
Bringing Easy Valentines Day Cards Design Together
Now using the spray adhesive, carefully place and stick the silver heart and the red papercut onto the natural paper.
To make the second card, by folding the silver foiled paper in half inside another sheet of the plain white paper. Trace another pattern of your choice, and cut it out using the pinking shears.
Finally, cut a pattern along the fold and open it out. Then stick the foil cut out onto another torn natural paper backing sheet. If you wish, cut out some additional heart shapes if you would like to add a bit more detail to your design.
