A Pretty Simply Paper Flower Card, Sure to Impress That Special Friend or Loved One
There is something so pleasing about making and receiving a pretty flower card. In my opinion they actually appeal to both men, women and children alike. A really fun, simple card making project, that is easy to do. But really can make a wonderful impression and tells that special someone, that you really care.
Things you need to make a paper flower card:
- Three shades of pink paper, each 10 x 5cms or 4 x 2inches
- Purple paper, 5 x 2.5cm or 2 x 1inch
- Turquoise paper, 13 x 13cms or 6 x 6inches
- Light blue card, 12 x 13cms or 5 x 6inches
- Pink card blanks, 12.5 x 18cms or 5 x 7inches
- White glue
- Light pink felt pen
- Ribbon
Let's Start Making Our Flower Card
Step One
Draw and cut out five petal shapes from the bright pink paper. Repeat this process using the two other shades of paper. Now cut out three central disks from the purple card. These will be the flower centres.
Now glue the light blue card onto the pink card.
Add Details To The Petals
Step Two
You can colour the tips of each petal using the felt tip pen. This will give a pretty three-dimensional effect. If you are feeling more creative add more details to the petals and the central flower part.
Glue And Assemble Our Pretty Little Card
Step Three
Use the white glue and a cocktail stick to apply glue to the back of the central flower disc and then carefully stick the petals down onto the disc in a pretty arrangement.
Using the cocktail stick to apply the glue enable you to apply the glue more precisely. Be careful not to apply too much glue.
Step Four
You can now cut a narrow stalk from the turquoise paper and glue this down to the light blue card. Again from the turquoise paper cut three leaf shapes and colour the edges with the felt tip pen to give a three-dimensional effect if desired.
Finally, assemble the stalks leaves and flowers into a pleasing arrangement on the flower card. And when happy glue all in place to complete your flower card.
