Let's Learn To Make Jojoba Moisturizer with Aloe Vera
When you learn to make your own natural skin care products you can really tailor them to suit your own skin. Only a few decades ago there were very few ingredients you could pick from to make your skin care products. Now there are many of course, and more being added each day.
To make out Jojoba moisturizer we are going to use a new products called Olivem 1000. This is a new green emulsifier and I really like it because it makes a very light lotion that feels almost oil free. And it is actually water soluble as we as oil soluble.
Jojoba oil is great for skin types that are more oily. We can use it with less greasy high omega vegetable oils such as thistle and or hemp. Try not to use cocoa butter or shea butter. These are far to heavy for skins that are oily. And this would likely result in an outbreak of spots.

Let's Start With The Oil Phase Of Our Jojoba Moisturizer
Step One
Place thee thistle and jojoba oil in the double boiler along with the Olivem 1000. This is our oil phase.
Now We Can Continue With The Water Phase
Step Two
Place the glass jar in a saucepan of hot water. Pop in the glycerin and spring water together in the glass jar. Start heating the ingredients. You can use a double boiler here if you have a spare one.
Get The Oil And Water Phases To A Matching Temperature
Step Three
Now we can heat all the oil phase ingredients. Continue heating them until they are all melted. Carefully heat both oil and water phases until they reach the same temperature. We are looking for 167-176 degree fahrenheit or 75-80 degrees celcius.
Once they are the same temperature, remove the oil phase from the pan of water. Be careful it will be very hot.
Carefully Start Mixing Our Jojoba Moisturizer
Step Four
Now we want to carefully and slowly pour a thin stream of the oil phase into the water phase. Make sure to continually stir with a metal spoon. Continue pouring for approximately 2 minutes.
Continue Blending The Two Phases Together
Step Five
Now we want to pick up our milk frother and start blending the two phases together more thoroughly. Blend for approximately 5 minutes.
Gently Start Cooling The Mixture
Step Six
Now we can take the jojoba moisturizer lotion away from the heat. Let it cool naturally. Keep blending as the moisturizer starts to thicken. Place the jug in a bowl of cool water to speed up the process.
Allow The Jojoba Moisturizer To Thicken
Step Seven
Over time the mixture will become quite thick. At this time stop blending with the frother. Now we can just leave it to cool down to room temperature. Once the mixture has finally cooled down, we can add in the aloe vera, preservatives and vitamin E oil.
Finally, Let's Finish Making Our Jojoba Moisturizer
Step Eight
Finally pour the mixture into the glass bottle and make sure to label it with the date and the ingredients. Congratulations, you have finished making the beautiful Jojoba Moisturizer with Aloe Vera.
