OK, you mention chocolate and we all take a collective sigh. It's just a lovely ingredient to use and not only in food, but in skincare products too. Here we are using dark organic cocoa butter which has absolutely wonderful chocolate aromas. You could use honey instead of the glycerin if you are really going for the completely decadent version of this chocolate orange lip balm.

The chocolate drops flavouring in the ingredients list is something that is easily available to buy online now. Some have used food flavourings, but you will need to conduct from trial and error experiments to get the quantities and textures right.

To start making our chocolate orange lip pots we start by melting in the double boiler the following. Add to the double boiler the shea butter and start melting. Next add in the beeswax and cocoa butter.

Next add in the glycerin and almond oil. We need to keep stirring everything until it is all blended well and fully liquid. 

Now we can remove the liquid mixture from the double boiler and the heat. Carefully pour the melted mixture into a glass jug with a spout. Now is a good time to add in the chocolate and orange flavourings.

Carefully stir in the flavourings until you feel they are fully mixed in. 

Now to finish, all we need to do is carefully pour the melted mixture into the lip balm pots. Leave the melt liquid to thoroughly cool before putting the lids on.
