How To Make Lemon And Tea Tree Foot Balm
The is a lovely simple recipe that I find really helps my feet and brightens my soul. It is great for feet that are particularly dry or even cracked. We use kokum butter because it is very good at softening hard skin on feet. But we could of course use shea butter. Try making a batch with both and let us know what difference you experience.
The essential oils we use here are excellent for the feet. Both are antibacterial and antiseptic and both smell divine.
Peppermint again would be an excellent choice for this wonderful similar qualities and also its cleansing and refreshing smell. Try mixing the peppermint with the lemon and leaving out the tea tree oil.
Comfrey is often used in natural skincare recipes to help with the healing of damaged skin. So is very good to use on your feet. Comfrey also has soothing and anti-inflammatory qualities and contains special proteins good for skin regeneration.
To apply the homemade foot balm, make sure your feet are thoroughly clean and dry first. Then simply work in the foot balm into your foot working all the areas where the skin is tougher. The lemon and tea tree foot balm can be a little greasy, so maybe consider applying the balm in the evening and then popping some clean cotton socks before bed. Then let the balm work on your feet as you sleep.
