Question Asked:

I am looking for somewhere to buy Sterling Silver earring findings for jewellery making as both myself and my family members who wear earrings cannot wear fashion jewellery, especially earrings. Therefore, it really does need to be real Sterling silver. And when ordering or buying online, how can I be sure that they are definitely made from silver? Or are there any shops where I can buy them in the real world?

I would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction. Additionally, for future reference, is it possible to get 9ct gold ones also? I am really hoping to get into jewellery making, and would love to work with real silver and real gold.

Thank you in advance.

I have seen them in Hobbycraft, but the only seem to come in small packs of two for £3.80. There must be some online somewhere, I have tried to look for bigger quantities, but they seem to be from places that I have not shopped before, so I am a little unsure as to whether they will actually be sterling silver or not.

I have bought some of the Hobbycraft ones also. I love making earrings, but I can only use real gold or silver for the part that goes through my ear.

My wife usually buys the sterling silver ones from Hobbycraft.
