Hi, I like to do creative things and I don't really care if other people think crocheting is girly. My gran used to teach us to knit when we were little kids and as the youngest sibling with three sisters, I really had no choice.

But I didn't mind, I like trying all sort of creative things, I'm always making something, drawing or painting. I love reading and expanding my mind.

My girlfriend is beautiful and I thought, I should make her something for our holiday. Something personal. She has been through a lot recently. A death in her family and she lost her job that she loved and I wanted to let her know how much I care about her. So I thought I'd surprise her and make her something that was totally out of the ordinary.

So I asked my gran to teach me to do some basic crocheting and I'd like to say that I did it all entirely myself, but it was with a lot of help from Gran, so thanks Gran, love ya!

But I have to admit, I really enjoyed it, I think it came out great and I can't wait to wrap it up and give it as a romantic gift and see her wearing it on our holiday on the beach.

I wanted to make a little matching skirt but my fingers don't move fast enough yet.

Thanks for looking just wanted to share and encourage more men to try these things. There is a slightly alternate reason. I love the idea of making a sexy dress for my girlfriend and then getting her to wear it. She is always complaining she can't find any sexy dresses in the high street shops. So that could be a thing, where everyone wins.
