Hello, I have recently been watching some really fab YouTube channels about scrap booking and journaling and it has got me all excited.

So I did what I normally do in these situations and went slightly bonkers. I went out and purchased lots and lots of little bits and pieces that I think I can make some great journals with. Oh and some other bits for future projects. Who doesn't have ten projects on the go at once, right?

Anyway I love the idea of doing some lovely little scrap booking projects for my family. And also maybe, after a little practice, make some nice gifts for my relatives. We have a young family and my mother is always asking for a special keepsake and of course, more pictures. So I can see why the whole journaling thing is so popular.

But what I really want to know is the name or really good brand of a quality blank scrapbooks to do my journaling in. If that makes sense. Can anyone recommend a good brand of the blank books. I don't really mind spending a little more if there are some books that are going to last a long time. I obviously want them to look very smart. I don't mind having a go at decorating the outside. Or maybe if they were really nice looking I could keep them simple, so they all match.

What do you do?

I know, a lot of the channels I watch , they actually seem to be making the blank books themselves. This is way beyond me at this time. But maybe something for the future. I just really want to get into the decorating and print out a load of our family photos and stick them in. Maybe I can get the kids to do their own. How cute would that be?

In one way it's a shame everything is digital now-a-days as I remember when I was a kid, looking through my mother's photo albums was so fun. When my mother and father were in the mood, the albums would come out, the bickering would stop, and we would all gather around the photo albums and reminisce. And then you just knew we would be doing that, as a family, all night long. Laughing about fun old photos. I miss that and would love to have those moments with my own young family now.

So if anyone can recommend a good brand of scrap books or blank journals that are suitable for decorating, that would be greatly appreciated.
