I know this is probably a strange request, but I am looking to make a special project.

Is there anyone reading this who owns a UCHIDA Corru-Gator Paper Crimper machine thing? It looks really good at crimping different papers. And it gets really good reviews. But I was wondering if there was a way to make it crimp in a circle rather than straight across, if this makes any sense.

Now, I am thinking about it, I suppose it doesn't make sense. What I want to create is an effect like a star burst, but in the corrugated paper. But I suppose it would need a base plate and a roller that is like a cone. So it can roll around in a circle rather than rolling straight.

I will probably get this paper crimper anyway. I know UCHIDA is a great brand and made some fun tools for crafting. Does anyone know of a crimping machine that can do the star burst effect I am trying to describe?

I thought it would make a great background to a card, to give it a really great 3d effect. I wonder if I could crimp a straight strip of card and sort of tease it into a circle, like a crimped border?

Does anyone think this would work? Do you have a UCHIDA Corru-Gator Paper Crimper? Can you tell me if you have discovered any cool hints and tips or clever effects you have stumbled on.

I like getting these tools and trying to use them in interesting and different way, that they were not necessarily designed for, I'm a bit naughty like that.

Also does anyone know any crimping rollers that do other effects, maybe like a brick pattern effect or wavy lines. I do a lot of icing effects and there are loads of icing rollers that can do all sorts of prints or embossing effects into icing and they come in rollers too.
