Question Asked:

Does anyone know of any good UK beaches for collecting sea glass? I have been making handmade jewellery for a white, mostly beading and a little wire work. I would really love to incorporate sea glass into some of my pieces of jewellery. I have seen it done while browsing online and thought that I would really like to have a go at it. I am fairly central in England, so it is kind of equal distance to most beaches, so open to all suggestions.

I have no idea where to start looking in the UK. I have found sea glass before on Spanish beaches, purely by accident while I was sat there running my hands through the gravel. I really love the idea of making jewellery with found things as they can be really beautiful. Sea glass reminds me of jewels, and I love how the glass is shaped by the sea and the sand.

Also, has anyone made jewellery with sea glass? I would love to see some of your work. What techniques do you use to attach the sea glass to the jewellery pieces?

Thank you in advance. I am really looking forward to finding some UK beaches where I can find beautiful pieces of sea glass.
