Hello, I'm looking for a really good book about basic welding for total beginners. I know there are videos on youtube, but I prefer to get a manual and keep it. I learn better when I work at my own pace.

Really I just want the basics to begin with, but I always want to learn to make welds like I have seen in the images attached.

So basic welds, but very neat looking and presentable. I know welding is a very complex skill to learn, but I really only want to become adequate at car body work. Would rather become good at one thing rather than average at lots of styles.

Anyway, I want to weld car parts and maybe a few frames for different projects. I know welding can be expensive so would rather get a really good book before investing all the money.

Just wondering if there any welding bibles that have stood the test of time?
