Question Asked:
Hi, I saw this picture on the internet of someone who has made a wax melter from a slow cooker. I wanted to try and do a few larger wax projects, but I’m not sure if making a wax melter from a slow cooker is a good idea.
First, is it actually a good idea? I understand a slow cooker can maintain the temperature for a long period of time, but is there anything else to consider?
I'm guessing the thing sticking into the top is a temperature probe, but how do you drill a hole in the curved top without breaking the glass.
I think I can get a used slow cooker, pretty cheap, but is it actually worth it? Has anyone else done anything similar?
Would be great to get some advice from any other candle making experts out there. I don't have much money so am always looking for ways to cut the corners, so to speak.
Thanks so much
