Question Asked:

Hello, I am struggling a bit.
Can anyone tell me how to make the wavy cut on the edge of the soap, as pictured below. I really like the idea of getting into soap making.

It sounds like a really fun hobby and practical too. For myself or for more personal gifts. I really like this picture, but I was wondering how do they make the wavy cuts on the edge of the soap?

Is it a mold? If it was a knife wouldn't it leave a big smear down the edge of the soap and look horrible?

It is something that is placed into the mold whilst the soap is setting?

Any soap experts out there? I'm just trying to do a load of research before I spend out on all the kit. Would like to seriously have a go at soap making. There seems like endless opportunity to be creative, seen some beautiful examples out there.

Thanks
Rose

That's really pretty soap. Soap making is very messy, tried it once :)
