"What Is a Question?" asked the Society of Makers
"What do you know?"
How do you know, what you don’t know?
How do I know, what you don’t know, you don’t know?
How do you find out, what you don’t know?
Well I don’t know… oh yes, actually I do… you ask a question!
Enter the Maker's Database of questions. Simply the world's greatest resource for people who like to smash things together, cut things, poke things, shave things, scrape things and generally abuse all sorts of raw materials into more pleasing forms.
If you don’t know something, just ask!
Ask a Maker a Question...
I created the Society of Makers as a place for all creatives to stop beating up their mediums of choice for a brief moment and come together in a safe zone to discuss even more diabolical forms of material misuse.
The best thing about being creative is the learning. Just when you think you have got a good handle on how to create something, someone comes along and explains a completely new way of doing it. Are you looking for a simpler, cheaper, more effective way of completing your project, then ask for advice.

The odd thing about making things, is that there is always someone who knows a little bit more than you. And if we can find them, we can all learn from them. And if that person is you, you can do a little smug face, but only if you post some of your knowledge in the, well, knowledge section.
Can a squirrel make a teacup out of his nuts?
There is no such thing as a bad question! Well maybe there is, but I think the point is that we will never know unless someone actually asks the question.
And that someone is you.
So ask your creative, maker's questions on the Society of Makers and we will do our best to encourage more and more expertise to tell us the answers.
When you ask a question, you simply fill out my form, add a category and some tag keywords. Then add up to 3 images and preview.
If you are happy, you can then set your question to live. Your question is then reviewed by a human to make sure, if it is squirrel related, that it is a nutty question.
Then your question will usually be approved within a few hours, or more if I am in the middle of a good dream about our furry woodland friends.
I hope this makes sense to you, because it really doesn’t make any sense to me. I really don’t know why they let me write these things. I think I'll ask a question on the Society of Makers, Maker's Database and see what they say.
Thank you for your patience,
Daniel
