Introducing the Society of Makers

Author: Mr Daniel
The Society of Makers, doesn't that sound good?

This is the conversation I expect people will have once they give in and join up.

"Errmm excuse me for troubling you, but are you a member of the Society of Makers?"

"Oh hello, no trouble at all, well yes, yes actually I am…"

"Do you do making too?"

"I do!"

"I do knew it’s true, that you do a few makings too. Maybe a screw in a thing with blue hue before it's time to chew on a moo stew."

"Or you might review a new fondue pot that Stu threw, or pursue a view of a glued shoe made of glass that Sue blew."

"Or maybe renew a bamboo canoe tattoo you drew for a kangaroo in a zoooooooo whose making two new voodoo shampoos out of shrew pooooooo, so he can preview and new kung-fu hairdo… HELP I'M STUCK!!!!!!!!!!"

Cough, cough, cough, anyway! Yes, maybe DON'T do any of that!

Oddest first blog banter ever!

The Maker's Database, what the heck is it all about and all that?

Despite my expertly rubbish banter, I would like the Society of Makers to be a safe place for family and friends to ask questions and share knowledge, hints and tips with other creative people.

I like making things, mostly a mess. But in the middle of that mess, sometimes pops out something that was fun, interesting and challenging. But the best thing about being creative is the fact that we can endlessly keep learning and that's what I want the Maker's Database to be all about.

The more we ask, the more we learn. The more we share our knowledge and experience, the better we feel.

I want the Society of Makers to be a safe environment for everyone. There is no direct private messaging. Your email address is never shown or shared. I am not interested in sending you endless waffly emails trying to sell you something, or letting anyone else do that to you. Your email address is only for logging in and recovering your account should you forget your password.

Your browsing behaviour is your own business and all content submitted is vetted and reviewed before going public.

I am not motivated by money. What I really want is to create a fun and happy community of interesting, creative personalities. You enjoying my website, would give me the most enjoyment. And I sincerely hope you do.

Please add your creative sucesses and failure into the Maker's Database and let us all keep learning together.

Well, I have to skiddoo, I've had a breakthrough on how to woo my mew to do her debut doo doo in the loo. Oh no, it's happening again... I'm going cuckoo!

Let us see where this journey takes us.
Thanks for putting up with me.

Daniel
